The well-known manufacturer Philips recently launched a new ultra-short-throw projector that is said to impress with excellent image quality and a screen diagonal of up to 150 inches (3.81 m). Probably a great opportunity to optimize your home cinema.

Anyone who has ever watched a film on a big screen knows that it cannot be compared to classic television. If you don’t want to do without the cinema feeling at home, then a projector is probably just the right thing. Philips has now released a new ultra-short-throw laser projector that aims to convey exactly that feeling.

As already mentioned, this model is an ultra-short-throw projector – this means that it can be placed directly in front of the desired “screen.” For example, according to Philips, if you place the projector just 28 cm away, you get a 120-inch (about 3 m) screen.
Top image quality with 4K UHD sharpness and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, and a brightness of 2200 ANSI lumens is also promised. Thanks to Dolby Vision, colors and contrasts should be emphasized in particularly rich detail. In addition, FlowMotion 4 technology ensures a smooth image.

The model is equipped with Dolby Atmos and DTS HD for room-filling sound and ensures an extraordinary film experience with immersive sound. External devices can be connected to the projector via two HDMI 2.1 connections, and videos, images, and audio can be played via USB. Bluetooth connection is also possible.

The advance sale is currently running via crowdfunding on the Indiegogo platform – if you pre-order in the Black Friday sale, you get the projector for 1788 dollars instead of the normal list price. It’s a discount of -48% – the number of products for this generous promotion is limited according to the manufacturer’s website. Deliveries are expected to start next spring.
